Recognizing that access to TOEFL resources alone does not always address the specific challenges applicants face, Morning Team organized a one-month Intensive TOEFL Preparation Program to provide a selected group of applicants with focused preparation, mentorship, and feedback.
The program began on August 15 and brought together 25 participants selected from a wider group of more than 300 TOEFL applicants. Over one month, participants took part in 12 online sessions, held three times a week, under the guidance of Abbas Safdari, a TOEFL instructor with more than one year of teaching experience.
Unlike a conventional TOEFL course designed to cover the entire curriculum from the beginning, the program focused on applicants who were already preparing for the examination and needed more targeted support. Participants worked across all four TOEFL skills, Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing, through structured practice and review. Speaking responses and writing samples were reviewed, allowing participants to identify areas for improvement and receive direct feedback and guidance.
The program also provided participants with direct access to the mentor, allowing them to raise questions, discuss difficulties, and seek guidance throughout the preparation period. The smaller group format was intended to make this interaction more practical and responsive to participants' individual needs.
Of the 25 selected participants, 15 completed the full one-month program. At the time of this report, five participants had taken the actual TOEFL examination, with three achieving their target scores. Other participants continue their preparation and may take the examination at a later stage.
Through this initiative, Morning Team sought to complement the extensive TOEFL resources already available online with structured practice, direct mentorship, and targeted feedback, creating a more supportive preparation environment for Afghan students pursuing international education opportunities.
