Applying for an international scholarship can be both an exciting opportunity and an unfamiliar process, especially for students applying for the first time. To help Afghan students better understand the UWC application journey, Morning Team hosted an online conversation with a 2024 UWC Scholarship recipient, who shared their experience of applying, going through the selection process, and ultimately receiving the scholarship.
Rather than focusing only on general information about the scholarship, the session provided applicants with an opportunity to learn from someone who had recently experienced the process firsthand. The conversation explored different stages of the application journey, from understanding the opportunity and preparing an application to navigating the selection process and responding to challenges along the way.

For prospective applicants, one of the most useful aspects of the session is the opportunity to hear how an applicant experienced the process personally—not simply what the official requirements say. These reflections can help students better understand how to approach their own preparation, while recognizing that every applicant's experience may be different.
